    It should be worth mentioning other Bay Area cities where Asian Amercians who have made political inroads. Milpitas has a Filipino American mayor, Joes Esteves, who followed another Filipino mayor, Henry Manayan. Other Filipino American majors are Mike Guingona is the major of Daly City, and Ed Balico of Hercules, which has had a number of Filipinio American mayors.

    Thanks for the additional info. Although the title of the article was "Asian Americans flex political muscle in wider Bay Area," the article did focus initially on San Francisco and Chinatown and the Chinese within the city, then elsewhere in the greater Bay Area.
