Its refreshing to see an Asian male being able to do a love scence with any ethnicity girl (not just Caucasian) on network television.

Russell Wong got busy with Rebecca Gayheart in Vanishing Son in the mid-90s.

If he scored with a blonde does it mean we can expect him to be killed off soon?
  • John · 2 years ago
Chook - who knows if the guy will be killed. I doubt it though, Bionic Woman is doing well in the ratings and I think the last thing NBC wants to do is kill a good thing.

..Or this could be another subtle attempt by Hollywood to emasculate Asian men by putting them in a submissive role before a dominant, white female.

I havent seen the series nor am i interested in doing so, but Will Yun Lee(in pic above) looks to me like bionic woman's bitch.

    ~To Nemrut:

Where the heck did that come from?

What would you rather have in the scene? Should he slap her around a bit to show his dominance?

nemogbr, he just looks like he's playing a feminine role in that pic...that's all. Besides, i think people make too much of seeing an Asian man with a white woman. What's the big deal...it's that many have been brainwashed into idealizing western standards of Beauty. Just look at the youth in Japan.

she does look a bit strange in that pic like her nose is bigger or something
anyone who hasnt checked out battlestar should check her out as the fighter pilot starbuck she convincingly plays possiby one of the most mesmerising femail roles I have seen on tv. more on subject...as a white male who spends a lot of time in japan I have seen the country's attitude to westerners change a lot over the last few years. from racist and idolising westerners to now becoming much more confident about who and what they are compared to others. in fact the ratio of beautiful, intelegent, interesting men and women in asian countries is far highter than in western ones where most people are becoming fat, lazy and narow minded. Anyone who has travelled will testify to this. And most of the japanese male lead character roles in jap media are infinitly cooler than anything we see in the west who steal only the few IPs they think will appeal to western tastes. I dont want to see western portrails of asian men, they continually get it so wrong, I want to the the real deal, the darkness, the conflict, the rage, the control, the skill. ill shut up now, think I lost the plot there you get the point though
